Jackbox Party Pack 12 adds five minigames this fall

Jackbox Games announced Party Pack 12 will include five minigames — We Forgot a Card, MegaPals, Debate and Switch, Idol Factions and Hyperface — releasing later this fall.

Jackbox Games announced that Jackbox Party Pack 12 will arrive later this fall and include five new minigames: We Forgot a Card, MegaPals, Debate and Switch, Idol Factions and Hyperface. The collection will be playable on multiple platforms and uses players’ phones or tablets as controllers.

The Party Pack series bundles short, standalone multiplayer games that players join with a mobile device for local or remote group play. The series traces its lineage to the 1990s quiz game You Don’t Know Jack and has continued to focus on social, quick-play titles designed for groups.

We Forgot a Card asks players to build offbeat greeting cards. Each participant contributes text or images using their device, and the cards compete against each other for audience reaction or votes.

MegaPals measures how closely players think alike. Participants submit answers under a time limit and score points by matching the responses of other players.

Debate and Switch places players in a town-hall-style setting where they must argue for and against a series of outlandish positions. Players can switch sides and seek to persuade others to their point of view during rounds.

Idol Factions is a team-based strategy trivia game. Players sort factoids into categories and race the opposing team to place items correctly, with scoring determined by speed and accuracy.

Hyperface uses a device’s screen to let players manipulate photos of teammates’ faces. Players distort or animate facial features to react to prompts and earn points based on responses.

All five games use real-time input, timed rounds and touchscreen gestures where applicable. Jackbox Games has not yet published a full platform list or exact release date; those details will be provided by the publisher before launch.
