June’s Journey highlights missing Revolutionary War artifacts

June’s Journey will add hidden-object gameplay featuring missing Revolutionary War artifacts, including part of King George III’s coat of arms, Saratoga artillery and a medal for Daniel Morgan.

Wooga, developer of the hidden-object game June’s Journey, announced an update timed to the United States’ 250th anniversary that adds gameplay focused on missing Revolutionary War artifacts.

The update will place historically inspired items into the game’s puzzle scenes for players to locate. Featured objects include a fragment of King George III’s coat of arms that was once displayed at Christ Church in Philadelphia, artillery pieces surrendered to American forces after the Battle of Saratoga, and a medal awarded to Continental Army officer Daniel Morgan.

Wooga said the items will appear as part of the studio’s existing scene-based puzzles rather than as museum-style exhibits. The developer described the presentation as using period detail to anchor each object in the Revolutionary War era.

The studio also created a submission process on the official June’s Journey website where players can upload photos and supporting evidence if they believe they have found one of the featured artifacts. Wooga noted that public attention and popular culture have previously helped locate lost artworks, and cited an example of a painting that resurfaced after appearing in a film.

According to the announcement, the update aims to draw attention to gaps in the historical record and to encourage public participation in identifying items that may survive in private collections or storage. The release date for the update was not specified beyond its timing with this year’s 250th anniversary.

June’s Journey combines narrative scenarios with hidden-object challenges, and the developer plans to integrate the artifact-themed content into those existing story-driven scenes.
