Kakao Games’ Dokkaebi World to launch on mobile Q3 2026

Kakao Games announced Dokkaebi World, a K‑fantasy MMORPG from Supercat based on Yeon Woo-sol’s Myeolgwi Sudojeon, will launch on mobile in Q3 2026; pre-registration is expected this month.

Kakao Games announced Dokkaebi World, a K‑fantasy MMORPG developed by Supercat and based on Yeon Woo-sol’s web novel Myeolgwi Sudojeon, will launch on mobile in the third quarter of 2026. Pre-registration is expected to open this month, the company said.

The project was first revealed under the codename Project OQ. Built on the Unity engine, the game uses Supercat’s retro-dot pixel art presented in a 2.5D view with layered environments. A recent teaser shows a world centered on a large sacred tree and features characters and creatures drawn from Korean folklore.

Supercat collaborated with the novel’s author on the game’s tribe lore and historical setting to align the adaptation with the source material. The studio’s signature pixel aesthetic is a primary visual element promoted for the title.

Gameplay is organized around flexible progression and a skill deck-building system. Players will collect and customize abilities, combine skills for tactical effects, and use a deck mechanic intended to encourage strategic choices.

Multiplayer content includes clan-based cooperative dungeons and raid bosses, plus large-scale player-versus-player battles. Clan systems are planned to support coordination for dungeons and raids, and PvP modes are designed for larger organized encounters.

Kakao Games has announced the mobile release window only and has not confirmed plans for PC or consoles. The company provided no specific launch dates, regional rollout details, monetization model, or server plans. Early footage and art released by the developer emphasize the game’s mythic themes and pixel-art presentation.
