Kartboard Dash: Cardboard kart racer hits Early Access in August
Zatun announced Kartboard Dash will enter Early Access on Android, iOS and PC in August after an alpha in 2025 and an open beta in June 2026.
Zatun announced that Kartboard Dash, an arcade kart racer set on handcrafted cardboard tracks, will enter Early Access for Android, iOS and PC in August. The studio ran an alpha test in 2025 and a public beta in June 2026. No specific release date or pricing has been provided.
The game places karts, tracks and scenery in a DIY cardboard setting using paper, tape and simple craft elements. Visuals are cartoony and the props are presented as assembled by hand rather than aiming for photorealism.
Races take place on courses with sharp turns, ramps, obstacles and surprise elements. Players collect dynamic power-ups that can boost their own speed or hinder rivals. On the final two laps a set of random modifiers applies to every race; examples shown by the studio include sudden speed boosts and hazard trails that change conditions late in a run.
The playable roster and vehicle list are described as growing. Early promotional material features stylized versions of figures such as Albert Einstein and Sun Wukong as examples of character variety. Each kart and racer is intended to provide distinct visual personality within the cardboard aesthetic.
Details on game modes, matchmaking and online features have not been announced ahead of Early Access. The August launch to Early Access is the next public development phase for the indie title, and Zatun has said it will share more information on a firm launch date and pricing ahead of wider availability.
