Katana ZERO mobile port to launch in China Aug-Oct 2026

Liangxin Studio announced a mobile port of Katana ZERO for Android and iOS in China, developed with original creator Askiisoft and due to launch between August and October 2026.

Liangxin Studio announced an official mobile port of the side-scrolling action platformer Katana ZERO for Android and iOS in China. The company said the version is being developed with Askiisoft, the game’s original creator, and is scheduled to arrive between August and October 2026. Pre-registration is open on Haoyou Kuaibao.

Katana ZERO is a neo-noir action platformer that features fast-paced combat where a single mistake can result in instant death. Gameplay mixes sword strikes, dashes, bullet deflection and time-manipulation abilities. Levels allow multiple approaches, including using environmental hazards and explosives to clear groups of enemies. The game does not use traditional systems such as equipment upgrades, health bars or level-based progression.

The title presents narrative scenes interwoven with gameplay. Player choices and in-game conversations influence how events unfold, producing branching outcomes and multiple endings. Liangxin Studio stated the mobile port will retain the game’s time-manipulation mechanics and story-driven elements.

A global mobile release of Katana ZERO was published through Netflix Games in 2024 and removed from that service in 2025. Liangxin Studio’s announcement positions its version as an official port for the Chinese market developed in collaboration with Askiisoft, indicating work to adapt controls and performance for touch devices.

Liangxin Studio did not provide an exact release date inside the August–October window. The company has not disclosed pricing, whether the release will include platform-exclusive content, plans for distribution outside China, or technical details such as controller support, device requirements and language options. More information is expected ahead of the stated launch window.
