King of Avalon celebrates 10th anniversary, adds Merlin

FunPlus has launched the Frost & Flame update for mobile strategy game King of Avalon to mark the title’s 10th anniversary. The update introduces Merlin as a collectible hero and opens an in-game event that runs through Sept. 30, asking players to gather relics and solve puzzles tied to Arthurian lore.

The event sends players to eight locations inspired by King Arthur stories. Participants must recover seven distinct relics and complete 12 jigsaw puzzles as they progress across a map. One sequence centers on the sword in the stone as a core challenge and offers rewards for advancing through the map-based tasks.

Merlin appears for the first time in King of Avalon as a collectible hero. The update also adds mythic hero draws, new dragons to encounter, a set of special locations, and anniversary rewards available through the game’s event menus and store.

FunPlus provided a redemption code, AVALON10YEARS, that grants 100 diamonds to players who reach level 10 or higher. The code is available to new and returning players and must be redeemed in the game.

The Frost & Flame content is live now and accessible through the game’s in-game store and event interfaces. The main event concludes on Sept. 30. King of Avalon has been online for a decade and has a reported cumulative player base of more than 500 million users. The update is part of FunPlus’s ongoing release schedule for the game.
