KonoSuba mobile sim-RPG opens pre-registration in Japan

KADOKAWA has opened pre-registration in Japan for KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! Prosperity for this Beloved City!, a mobile simulation role-playing game. The title was first revealed during the franchise’s 10th anniversary livestream in January 2026. Pre-registration is available on Google Play and the App Store for players in Japan, and an App Store listing shows a planned release date of December 31, 2026.

The game features an original story supervised by series creator Natsume Akatsuki and includes contributions from original illustrator Kurone Mishima. Developers recreated franchise characters such as Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin and Darkness in full 3D and set gameplay around the town of Axel.

Gameplay combines turn-based combat with city-building and management. Players will develop and manage Axel, engage in combat encounters against monsters, and take part in daily character interactions aligned with the series’ comedic tone. A teaser trailer released with the pre-registration announcement shows party scenes in Axel, combat sequences and other gameplay moments that illustrate those features.

KADOKAWA describes the project as an original KonoSuba story supervised by the creator rather than a direct retelling of the anime or light novels. Kurone Mishima’s involvement aims to maintain visual continuity with the franchise.

Further information, including additional footage, release details and regional availability, is expected from KADOKAWA as the December 2026 date approaches. KonoSuba began as a light novel series and expanded into an anime franchise; this title represents a new mobile entry tied to that property.
