Kuro Games Announces Wuthering Waves: Elysium Animated Series

Kuro Games announced Wuthering Waves: Elysium under its Kuro Onroad brand and released a one-minute cinematic teaser featuring Cartethyia and a new unnamed character.

Kuro Games has announced Wuthering Waves: Elysium, an animated series based on its action RPG, and released a one-minute cinematic reveal trailer under the studio’s new Kuro Onroad animation brand. The teaser provides a first look at the series’ visual style and setting.

The trailer opens on the shores of Rinascita with Cartethyia surrounded by seagulls, then shifts to a second, unnamed character walking toward a distant castle. The clip includes brief appearances by characters from the game, including Aemeath, Aimes, Yangyang and Jinhsi. The animation presents the game’s imagery at higher production quality than the in-game visuals.

Kuro Games has not disclosed key details beyond the teaser. The studio has not confirmed whether Elysium will be a full-length television anime, a series of shorts, or another format. Plot details, episode count, release date and distribution or streaming partners remain unannounced.

The announcement follows a pattern of game franchises expanding into animated projects. Recent examples include a planned anime tied to a battle-royale title targeting 2027, an animated series based on a social deduction game, a music-themed project linked to a mobile RPG, and a set of animated shorts from a third-person shooter franchise.

Kuro Games has offered no further commentary in the trailer release. Fans and industry observers are awaiting additional information about the series’ format, episode schedule and where it will be available to watch.
