Kylian Mbappé Confirmed on EA Sports FC 27 Ultimate Edition Cover

EA Sports confirmed Kylian Mbappé as the cover athlete for the EA Sports FC 27 Ultimate Edition and posted the cover image on its official social channels. The publisher also updated its logo art across social pages to reflect the EA Sports FC 27 name.

The company has scheduled a full gameplay showcase for July 23, where it will present the first official gameplay footage for the new title.

Leaked information circulating before the cover reveal suggests a planned release date of September 25, with early access for Ultimate Edition buyers beginning on September 18. EA has not officially confirmed those dates and is expected to provide release details during or after the July 23 showcase.

Multiple reports have described a potential new open-world social area in the game. The alleged mode would let players create and customize an avatar, meet other players and take part in activities outside of matches. EA has not confirmed the existence or details of such a mode.

Mbappé’s appearance on the Ultimate Edition cover follows months of leaks and speculation about the cover athlete. Fans and industry observers monitored those reports in the lead-up to the publisher’s announcement.

EA’s July 23 presentation is scheduled to address gameplay mechanics, updates to Career Mode and Ultimate Team, and content tied to different editions. Until the showcase, confirmed information remains limited to the cover reveal and the announced event date.
