League of Legends Patch 26.22: Mel W Update and Champion Changes
League of Legends patch 26.22 is scheduled for Nov. 4, with 10 champion buffs, three nerfs and a mini-update to Mel’s W ability.
Riot Games has scheduled League of Legends patch 26.22 for Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2026. The patch is expected to include buffs for 10 champions, nerfs for Locke, Thresh and Yasuo, and changes to Mel’s W ability.
The release date follows Riot’s Pacific Time schedule and may change. Riot has not published the numbers or detailed effects for the champion and item changes, so their impact on balance will not be clear until the official patch notes are released.
Aurelion Sol, Corki, Kayle, Maokai, Naafiri, Rumble, Shen, Smolder, Viktor and Zaahen are listed for buffs. Locke, Thresh and Yasuo are listed for nerfs.
Aurora, Mel and Renekton will receive adjustments rather than standard buffs or nerfs. Mel’s mini-update will remove the projectile-reflection effect from her W while keeping its ability to delete projectiles. Riot has described the change as an effort to reduce frustration for players facing Mel.
Overlord’s Bloodmail is listed for a buff. Doran’s Bow and Doran’s Blade will also change, though Riot has not disclosed whether the adjustments will increase or reduce their effectiveness.
Patch 26.22 follows patch 26.21, which added five ARAM Mayhem Augments. Riot is expected to provide details on champion abilities, item statistics and system changes in the official patch notes.
