Lil’ Guardsman arrives on Android as paid release
Plug In Digital has released Lil’ Guardsman on Android as a premium paid title; the 2024 Hilltop Studios deduction game has players question over 100 visitors.
Plug In Digital published Lil’ Guardsman on Android via the Google Play Store as a paid release. The game was developed by Hilltop Studios and first launched on PC and consoles in 2024. Plug In Digital has not provided a date for an iOS release.
Players assume the role of Lil, a 12-year-old who covers her father’s shift at the castle gate. The core gameplay requires inspecting documents, gathering clues and questioning more than 100 unique visitors — including humans, elves, goblins and other fantasy characters — before deciding whether to admit them.
The title offers a range of investigative tools that can be upgraded. A feature called the Chronometer3000 allows players to rewind time and try different choices without permanently altering the storyline. Individual decisions can lead to visitors being admitted, detained or killed; those outcomes feed into larger events such as royal alliances and political conflicts that affect the city.
Lil’ Guardsman includes full voice acting, branching story paths and replayable investigations intended to support different approaches on subsequent playthroughs. The Android edition is offered as a premium purchase rather than a free-to-play product.
The mobile release was handled by Plug In Digital, with Hilltop Studios credited as developer. The game is available now on the Google Play Store. No further platform or update timelines have been announced.
