LoL Classic Patch 26.16 Adds Akali, Kennen and Shen

Patch 26.16 for League of Legends Classic adds Akali, Kennen and Shen, adjusts 19 champions, and alters gold generation, turret health, jungle scaling and Classic runes.

Riot Games’ Patch 26.16 for League of Legends Classic adds three champions, adjusts 19 champion kits and changes core game systems on Summoner’s Rift. The update applies older kit versions for the three added champions and updates map and economy values that affect early-game pacing.

The patch gives notable buffs to Lux, Amumu, Dr. Mundo, Skarner and Veigar. Lux gains increased movement speed, higher ultimate AP scaling and a reduced ultimate cooldown. Amumu receives stronger MR shred, a longer passive duration and higher damage on his Q. Dr. Mundo gets increased damage reduction and crowd-control reduction from his W and improved regeneration on his ultimate. Skarner’s Q slow is stronger, his W cooldown is reduced and his E missile becomes wider. Veigar’s Q gets higher AP scaling and his abilities cost less mana. Miss Fortune’s W has altered duration and stacking behavior and her ultimate gains stronger damage scaling. Garen, Soraka and Alistar receive modest improvements to regeneration, healing and utility. Olaf’s kit is adjusted with both buffs and nerfs, including increased E scaling and changes to his ultimate.

Several champions are receiving nerfs in the update. Blitzcrank has reductions to his Q, W and ultimate. Heimerdinger, Janna, Jarvan IV, Katarina, Nasus, Tryndamere and Warwick also see nerfs. Twitch loses base attack damage and missile speed, and his E will cost more mana. Tryndamere and Nasus are receiving multi-part reductions across their kits to reduce late-game strength.

System-level changes modify income, objectives and runes. Base gold generation is increased by roughly +200 while gold per creep score is reduced by one. All turrets gain 500 hit points. Jungle monsters scale to higher health as they level, with early-game monster camp health increased, which will slow early clears. Early-game respawn timers are shortened. Classic runes are being added to the mode alongside reworked versions of existing runes. The Summoner’s Rift visual quality receives improvements and Homeguard is removed from the Classic mode.

The three champions added to Classic use legacy kits: Akali is returning with her June 2012 kit, Kennen with his July 2013 kit and Shen with his April 2013 kit. These are older iterations of their abilities and numbers intended to match how the characters played in earlier seasons.

Riot described Patch 26.16 as one of the larger updates for League Classic, combining broad champion tuning with map and economy adjustments that affect early-game tempo and objective durability.
