LoL Patch 26.13 Preview: Locke Debuts, Targeted Pro Tweaks

Riot Games will release patch 26.13 for League of Legends on June 24, 2026, adding champion Locke and a set of targeted buffs and nerfs aimed at the pro meta before MSI ends.

Riot Games plans to deploy League of Legends patch 26.13 on June 24, 2026. The update will add a new champion, Locke, and include a number of targeted champion and item adjustments intended for professional play during the final phase of MSI.

Riot published a competitive preview describing the patch as a final MSI update focused on small numerical adjustments rather than large system changes. Locke will be available on live servers when the patch goes live, allowing teams and solo players to try the champion in late-tournament drafts.

On the item side, Imperial Mandate will receive an efficiency buff. Doran’s Helm will be reduced in power after designers flagged it as providing excessive safety for marksmen. Those changes are meant to alter item choices available to pro teams while avoiding broad shifts to game systems.

Marksmen receiving buffs include Aphelios, Draven, and Kai’Sa. The patch notes state the changes aim to increase the viability of these carries in team compositions. Mid-lane champions LeBlanc, Qiyana, and Vex are also receiving adjustments to support more aggressive, playmaking styles.

Jungle champions boosted in 26.13 include Kindred, Olaf, Poppy, and Zaahen. Several top-lane champions that have been prominent in pro play will be nerfed, specifically K’Sante, Rumble, and Sion, to reduce their current lane dominance.

Additional nerfs target scaling or utility on a number of champions across roles. Senna, Brand, and Cassiopeia face reductions to elements of their growth or support strength. Smaller adjustments affect Bard and Rek’Sai to fine-tune their competitive impact.

Riot’s preview emphasizes a cautious approach before the tournament ends, concentrating on specific numerical changes rather than sweeping reworks. Teams competing at MSI will have a short window to test Locke and adapt to the item and champion changes once the patch goes live on June 24, 2026.
