Maneki Mania Turns Lucky-Cat Petting Into an Idle Shrine Game

Lianes8 Studio’s Maneki Mania is available on Google Play, where players pet a lucky cat to earn koban, expand a shrine and add automated helpers.

Maneki Mania is an incremental game from Lianes8 Studio. It is available on Google Play and centers on a maneki-neko, or lucky cat. Players pet the cat to produce koban, a coin used for upgrades, and fill a fortune meter.

When the meter is full, players can pull a lever to spin charm slots. Matching symbols award more koban. Three matching symbols pay five times the reward for a pair, while a full board of koban pays the jackpot.

The slot machine starts with three reels and can expand to eight. Players can add six machines to the shrine, including gachapon and pachinko machines. Helpers linked to each machine pet the cat automatically on timers. A cat paw can also pull the slot-machine lever.

The game includes an upgrade tree with characters such as a kitsune priest and a tanuki treasurer. Ten lucky charms become available at set milestones. Shrine ranks are awarded as players spend koban, and each rank adds more koi to the shrine pond.

A fortune wheel awards one of 12 permanent talents every two shrine levels. Players earn all slot-machine spins through in-game activity. The game pays rewards only in koban and does not offer real-money payouts.

Advertisements appear in menus and do not interrupt gameplay. An optional video can increase a milestone reward by 1.5 times. A single purchase removes the remaining advertisements.
