Marvel Tokon blocked on Steam in 132 countries over PSN login

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is unavailable on Steam in 132 countries because it requires a PlayStation Network login and PSN is not available in those regions.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, a multiplayer-focused fighter, is blocked on Steam in 132 countries because it requires players to sign in with a PlayStation Network (PSN) account and PSN does not operate in those regions.

Recent SteamDB updates show region locks tied to the PSN login requirement. Because the game enforces PSN authentication for online play, users in those countries are prevented from purchasing or accessing the title on Steam.

The publisher and the game’s integration with Sony link multiplayer systems to PSN services. Steam’s store page reflects the regional availability changes, and SteamDB entries show access removed where PSN accounts cannot be created or authenticated. The developer and distributors have not announced any change to the requirement ahead of the planned global launch.

Last year Sony required PC owners of Helldivers 2 to link a PSN account to access online features. After player criticism, Sony made PSN linking optional and offered in-game cosmetics for those who linked. Recent PlayStation PC releases such as God of War Ragnarök, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, The Last of Us Part II Remastered and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered have allowed optional PSN linking; those titles are primarily single-player.

Marvel Tokon’s multiplayer is integral to its design. Because online features depend on PSN authentication, players in affected countries will be unable to buy or play the game on Steam unless the publisher or Sony changes the authentication requirement.

There has been no public confirmation that Sony or the publisher will change the PSN requirement or lift regional restrictions before release. Users and regional storefronts will watch for updates. For now, the title remains unavailable on Steam in the 132 listed countries.
