Medabots S heads to mobile; global pre-registration open
Imagineer opened global pre-registration for Medabots S on Android and iOS. The App Store shows a tentative Jan. 21, 2026 release date.
Imagineer Co., Ltd. has opened global pre-registration for Medabots S, a mobile adaptation of the Medabots franchise, for Android and iOS. The game first released in Japan in 2020. The App Store listing shows a tentative release date of Jan. 21, 2026, and pre-registration is available on both the Google Play Store and the App Store.
Medabots S features the series’ signature three-on-three command-based Robattles. Players assign commands to individual parts of each Medabot and use a parts upgrade system to improve specific equipment. Combat mechanics include an Active Line that enables stronger skills and a primary victory condition that involves destroying the enemy leader’s head part.
Customization centers on collecting head, body and limb parts plus Medals that modify abilities and behavior. Players obtain parts and Medals through in-game activities and use them to build and upgrade teams for strategic matches. Progression is tied to part collection and upgrades, allowing players to refine preferred combinations over time.
The mobile release includes an original narrative and characters from across the Medabots series, along with quests designed specifically for this title. Imagineer describes the game as offering a wide range of Medabots and part combinations for players to experiment with.
Medabots Survivors, a separate survivor-action title in the franchise, remains available for players who want related content while waiting for Medabots S. Details on pre-registration rewards and further launch information are expected closer to the listed release date.
Medabots began as a franchise about autonomous robots with distinct personalities that are customized for competitive Robattles. The series has long focused on equipment-driven strategy and collectible parts; Medabots S applies those mechanics to a global mobile release.
