Metal Slug Rush launches as roguelike on Android and iOS

METAL SLUG RUSH, developed by RingGames under license from SNK and released by REVIVECONTENTS, is a roguelike now available on Android and iOS.

METAL SLUG RUSH, developed by RingGames under license from SNK and released by REVIVECONTENTS Co., Ltd., launched on Android and iOS. The game places players in wave-based survival runs against Rebel Army units, Pirates and the Mars People.

Each session is structured as a run. Players fight successive enemy waves, gain experience during a run, level up on the fly and unlock upgrades that change weapons, abilities and perks. Perk choices and temporary upgrades create variation between sessions, while equippable gear can be combined to form different build synergies. Boss encounters and enemy types increase challenge as runs progress.

The game uses pixel art similar to earlier Metal Slug releases. It brings back familiar characters and enemies and features the franchise’s announcer voice. Series touches such as cameo appearances by Hyakutaro appear in the game to maintain continuity with prior entries.

REVIVECONTENTS describes METAL SLUG RUSH as a roguelike action game that emphasizes short, repeatable runs and incremental progression within each play session. The title is available for download from the Google Play Store and the App Store.

METAL SLUG RUSH follows last year’s Metal Slug Tactics, which adapted the series into turn-based strategy. Rush adapts the franchise toward arcade-style survival roguelike combat while retaining recognizable visual and audio elements.

The release provides a mobile version that pairs run-based progression and in-run upgrades with the Metal Slug cast and pixel-art presentation.
