MLB 9 Innings Rivals marks 3rd anniversary with Hall of Fame revamp

Com2uS updated MLB 9 Innings Rivals 26 for its third anniversary, changing Hall of Fame card progression and adding event modes, crafting rewards and an All-Star lobby refresh.

Com2uS released an update for MLB 9 Innings Rivals 26 to mark the game’s third anniversary. The update modifies Hall of Fame card progression, adds temporary event modes and rewards, and refreshes the home screen with an All-Star presentation timed to the 2026 MLB All-Star Game.

The headline feature is the Hall of Fame Card Growth Event. It revises the game’s Limit Break and Upgrade mechanics to reduce the amount of time and resources required to strengthen Hall of Fame cards. The revised progression aims to make advancing legendary cards smoother for players who already own them.

The update introduces an Event Game mode that uses Balls, the in-game currency, to grant extra rewards for playing matches. An Event Workshop allows players to craft anniversary gear and items. An Event Pass tracks daily missions and distributes milestone rewards as tasks are completed. These systems run for the anniversary period and provide time-limited objectives and rewards.

The home screen now includes a 2026 All-Star Lobby Presentation. Quality-of-life changes accompany the visual update: Pick ’em Mode now displays clearer rankings and team comparisons for predictions, and the daily check-in system has been overhauled to simplify claiming rewards.

MLB 9 Innings Rivals 26 continues to use the official MLB license, featuring real teams, current players and stadiums. Cover athletes for the release remain Jung Hoo Lee, Bryce Harper and Yoshinobu Yamamoto. A partnership with the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum continues, allowing players to recruit historical baseball legends alongside active players.

Core gameplay modes such as League, Live Match and Ranked Slugger remain available for solo and multiplayer competition. Com2uS released the anniversary content as part of the third-year celebration, and the update focuses on easing high-tier card progression and offering event-driven rewards. The game is available as a free download on mobile platforms.
