Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta PC Requirements Revealed

Infinity Ward released PC system requirements for the Modern Warfare 4 open beta, listing minimum and recommended specs, a 50GB SSD download and beta dates in August 2026.

Infinity Ward published the PC system requirements for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 open beta and confirmed the download will be available on Battle.net and Steam. Early access for players who pre-purchased begins August 21, 2026, with the open beta available to all players starting August 28, 2026.

Minimum requirements call for Windows 10 64-bit, an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core i5-8400 processor, 12GB of RAM and a graphics card such as the AMD Radeon RX 470, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or GTX 1060, or Intel Arc A580, with approximately 3GB of video memory. The game requires installation on an SSD and a broadband internet connection, and a DirectX-compatible sound card is listed as required.

The recommended specification asks for Windows 11 64-bit, an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel Core i7-8700 CPU, 16GB of RAM and a GPU like the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or Intel Arc B580 with about 8GB of video memory. Infinity Ward provided recommended driver versions for the recommended setup: NVIDIA 610.47, AMD 26.7.1 and Intel 32.0.101.8861.

Infinity Ward lists the open beta download size as 50GB and reiterates the SSD requirement. The developer notes the beta build does not include all graphical features planned for the final release, and system requirements at launch may change.

The published requirements apply to the open beta build only and set the minimum hardware needed to participate in the scheduled beta sessions on Battle.net and Steam.
