Minecraft update adds Sulfur Cave, Sulfur Cube and 30+ blocks

Mojang Studios is rolling out Chaos Cubed, Minecraft’s second major update of the year, adding the Sulfur Cave biome, the Sulfur Cube passive mob, and more than 30 new building blocks.
Mojang Studios is releasing Chaos Cubed, the second major Minecraft update of the year, across supported platforms worldwide. The update adds the underground Sulfur Cave biome, a new passive Sulfur Cube mob, and more than 30 building blocks.
Mojang describes Sulfur Cave as easier to locate than typical underground areas. Sulfur springs and periodic geysers appear on the surface above these zones, guiding players to cave entrances.
Inside the biome, players will find sulfur blocks and sharp sulfur spikes that shape terrain and hazards. Loot chests in nearby mineshafts can include a new music disc titled “Bounce.”
The update debuts the Sulfur Cube, a passive creature found in Sulfur Caves. Feeding it different block types produces distinct effects, allowing players to test how it reacts.
Building options expand with full Cinnabar and Sulfur sets, including stairs, slabs, and walls, along with polished, brick, and carved variants. A standalone block called Potent Sulfur features its own interaction mechanics.
Minecraft continues to receive several updates each year. Chaos Cubed is the second major release of the year and is now rolling out in-game worldwide.
As previously reported, Epic Games doubled Fortnite’s Gummy Power Hour to two hours on Saturdays to boost players’ chances of finding rare Gummy Sprites
