Monopoly Go! launches Monster Mash with HUNTR/X and Ghostbusters

Monopoly Go! will run a Monster Mash season from Sept. 23 to Nov. 25 that introduces the K-pop group HUNTR/X, the Saja Boys and the Ghostbusters as playable characters and themed content. The crossover places new racers and vehicles on two maps: Seoul and a Manhattan board that includes 550 Central Park West.

Players can visit franchise locations such as the Ghostbusters’ firehouse and pursue board objectives that unlock event rewards. The update adds a golden Honmoon property and encounters framed as battles against monsters, including Gozer. Event mechanics include a Luck-O’-Lantern meter that fills as players move and Trick or Treat dice battles against other players.

The season also adds new minigames, a live in-game concert featuring HUNTR/X, and the Blocks Boutique, a seasonal shop offering collectible in-game merchandise. New character styles, community-created tokens and Ghostbusters-themed vehicles expand customization and competition in standard races and Halloween challenges.

The developer has scheduled the event content to run from Sept. 23 through Nov. 25. Seasonal items and time-limited activities will be removed or rotated after the period ends. The update follows previous seasonal crossovers that introduced pop-culture characters and limited-run content to the game.
