Monster Boy is available on the App Store for $24.99, bringing Game Atelier’s side-scrolling action-adventure to iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.

FDG Entertainment released Monster Boy on Apple platforms via the App Store. The title is priced at $24.99 and is available for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.

Game Atelier developed Monster Boy in collaboration with Ryuichi Nishizawa, creator of the original Wonder Boy in Monster World. FDG opened pre-orders and announced the Apple platform port last month.

Players control the hero Jin and explore a large interconnected map. Gameplay involves confronting bosses, finding hidden locations and secret paths, and using platforming skills to progress.

Progression unlocks six transformation forms. Each form provides distinct combat moves and platforming abilities that allow access to new areas. The release includes more than 15 hours of content, a variety of magic weapons and items, and a structure that requires returning to earlier areas to reach additional sections.

The game features hand-drawn character animations and expressive visuals. The soundtrack credits include Japanese game composers. The iOS edition supports external controllers for players who prefer physical inputs.

Monster Boy was previously released on other platforms. FDG Entertainment has not announced a release date for an Android version.

Previously, we reported that Vampire Survivors developer Poncle said they are reviewing a planned Fortnite collaboration after Epic revealed AI tools in its Unreal Engine 6 announcement.
