Monster Hunter Rise arrives on mobile through Netflix Games

Monster Hunter Rise is now available on iOS and Android through Netflix Games. The mobile release is currently limited to Netflix subscribers in Malaysia and the Philippines.

Capcom’s action RPG Monster Hunter Rise has launched on mobile through Netflix Games. The game is available for iOS and Android devices in Malaysia and the Philippines, with an active Netflix membership required to download and play it.

The mobile release is a full adaptation of Monster Hunter Rise. Players leave Kamura Village to take on hunting quests, collect materials from monsters and use them to craft weapons, armor and other items.

The game includes multiple weapon types, Buddies and Wirebugs. Online multiplayer supports hunts with up to four players.

Netflix has redesigned the controls for smartphones and tablets. Each weapon has its own touch-control layout. The release also adds a Recovery Button, which selects a healing or recovery item based on the player’s health and current status.

Challenge and Event Quests that were previously available as paid or time-limited downloadable content can be obtained through game progression.

Monster Hunter Rise launched for Nintendo Switch in 2021 before coming to PC and other consoles. The Monster Hunter series has previously appeared on portable platforms such as PlayStation Portable and Nintendo 3DS. No date has been announced for the game’s release in additional regions.
