NBA RISE Opens Android Closed Beta in Eight Markets
NBA RISE began a closed Android beta on July 21, 2026, running through July 29 in South Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.
Developer GRAVITY launched the first closed beta of NBA RISE for Android on July 21, 2026. The test period runs through July 29 and is available in South Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand via the Google Play Store. GRAVITY has not announced a wider launch schedule or iOS availability.
NBA RISE is an officially licensed NBA and NBPA mobile title focused on card-based team management. Players collect cards representing real NBA players and coaches, build rosters, and make strategic choices that determine match outcomes rather than controlling players directly on the court.
Core gameplay centers on roster construction, lineup chemistry and resource management. The game uses a synergy system so certain player combinations influence team performance. Managers must handle fatigue, injuries, rotations and training to maintain a competitive squad.
Matches feature real-time substitutions and tactical adjustments that require decisions during play. The title includes online player-versus-player modes where users can bring their rosters to compete against other players. The closed beta is limited to testing these systems with a regional audience.
GRAVITY described the closed beta as an early-access testing period to collect player feedback and evaluate gameplay systems before any broader release. At present the company has not provided dates for additional regions or for a release on other platforms.
