NCSoft opens closed beta for Astrae Oratio on mobile
NCSoft has opened global closed beta signups for Astrae Oratio, a Shindenki Magic RPG set in an alternate 1889 Tokyo, accepting Android and iOS applications through September 21, 2026.
NCSoft has opened global closed beta recruitment for Astrae Oratio, its Shindenki Magic role-playing game for Android and iOS. The recruitment period runs through September 21, 2026. The closed beta will be limited in size, operate as a temporary data-wipe test and select participants will be notified by email in batches; exact test dates have not been announced.
Astrae Oratio is developed by Dynamis One. The project was first shown under the working name Project AT and received its official reveal in May 2026. The game is set in a fictional Reisei Era version of Tokyo in 1889 where magic is integrated into daily life and public administration. Players take the role of a Shunin, a public official assigned to the Special District Office that handles magical incidents and disputes.
The game world features competing groups with distinct interests, including Minato Ward and the Seiran Fellowship. Combat centers on wieldable Artifacts and magical duels called Trials of Domination. Weapons and tools are designed to range from historical relics to more modern creations, reflecting the setting’s combination of period style and advanced magical technology.
To apply for the closed beta, applicants must visit the official Astrae Oratio website, select Apply for CBT, choose Google Play or the App Store, enter an email address and complete the application survey. Selected testers will receive selection notices and a pre-download guide by email; notifications will be sent in batches, so applicants may not receive immediate confirmation.
NCSoft and Dynamis One have indicated they will provide further details on the closed beta schedule and selection timing at a later date. The recruitment window remains open until September 21, 2026.
