Netmarble to close Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds global servers

Netmarble will end the MARBLEX-powered global service for Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds on Sept. 17, 2026, and open a unified global server in July that requires new characters.

Netmarble announced it will close the MARBLEX-powered global service for Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds on Sept. 17, 2026. The company plans to open a unified global server in July and will stop sales of paid in-game items for the existing service on July 2, 2026. Netmarble confirmed that current servers, official forums and the MARBLEX ecosystem will be discontinued as part of the transition.

The publisher described the change as a relaunch and outlined migration rewards tied to each player’s Combat Power (CP). Higher-CP accounts will receive larger compensation and accelerated growth support on the new server. All characters on the current global service will be deleted, and players must create new characters when the unified server launches.

MARBLEX is a crypto-linked platform that added play-to-earn mechanics and NFT-style monetization to the game’s global edition. Netmarble’s domestic release did not include blockchain components because of local regulations. Community feedback on the global edition cited concerns about monetization, bot activity and pay-to-win mechanics.

Netmarble has said it will revise progression systems and deliver new content on the unified server but has not provided a detailed update schedule. The company has not disclosed full details of the compensation packages or specific technical measures to limit bots and pay-to-win behavior.

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds launched on mobile and PC drawing on the Ni no Kuni franchise and its Studio Ghibli–inspired visuals. The July server relaunch will end the MARBLEX ecosystem for the global player base and reset live-service progress. Netmarble has asked players to prepare for the July sales cutoff and the mandatory character-creation process on the new server.
