Nexon Games names Project RX FAREIDOLIA; trailer at TGS 2026

Nexon Games revealed Project RX will be called FAREIDOLIA and will debut a new trailer on September 17, 2026, at Tokyo Game Show; the game is planned for mobile, PC and consoles.

Nexon Games announced that Project RX will launch under the title FAREIDOLIA and that a new trailer will premiere on September 17, 2026, during its Tokyo Game Show presentation.

FAREIDOLIA is described on the TGS site as an anime-style role-playing game set in a nostalgic town where players spend time with girls who possess special powers. The project is planned for mobile devices, Windows PC and consoles.

Early teasers juxtaposed quiet, everyday scenes-characters reading, cooking and relaxing under cherry blossoms-with sudden shifts to darker, supernatural events. Those teasers also included stylized combat sequences and distinctive enemy designs. Nexon has not released detailed gameplay information ahead of the trailer.

The title is being developed at RX Studio within Nexon Games’ IO Division. The development team includes staff who previously worked on Blue Archive, and the game is being built in Unreal Engine 5. No release date has been announced.

Observers noted the name FAREIDOLIA resembles the word pareidolia, a perceptual phenomenon in which people see shapes or faces in random patterns; Nexon has not linked the name to any narrative details.

At Tokyo Game Show, Nexon will show the new trailer and allow attendees to try the game at its booth. The September presentation will provide the first extended public look beyond the initial teasers.
