Noctua launches first AIO NL-LC1 liquid CPU coolers

Noctua launched the NL-LC1 AIO liquid CPU coolers in 240mm, 360mm and 420mm sizes, built on Asetek’s Emma V2 pump-block design and fitted with NF-A12x25 fans.

Noctua has released the NL-LC1 series, its first factory-sealed all-in-one (AIO) liquid CPU coolers. The range arrives in three radiator sizes — 240mm, 360mm and 420mm — and is available now through retailers, including online stores. The 240mm NL-LC1-24 is priced at $219.90, the 360mm NL-LC1-36 at $249.90 and the 420mm NL-LC1-42 at $279.90. Each unit carries a six-year warranty.

The NL-LC1 uses Asetek’s Emma V2 pump-and-block layout. A metal waterblock with an integrated pump mounts to the CPU and circulates coolant to the radiator, where the included fans move air to dissipate heat. The 240mm model ships with two 120mm fans, the 360mm with three 120mm fans and the 420mm with three 180mm fans.

Noctua describes the pump housing as a ‘noise absorber’ that combines acoustic soundproofing with a tuned-mass damper to reduce airborne pump noise and vibrations transmitted through the case. The coolers include Noctua’s NF-A12x25 G2 fans. Fan speeds are staggered across the radiator array to avoid harmonic vibration and the beat-frequency effect that can increase perceived noise when multiple fans run at identical speeds.

Noctua has previously been known primarily for air cooling and stand-alone fans. The NL-LC1 is the company’s first entry into factory-sealed liquid cooling, keeping Noctua’s brown-and-beige color scheme. Noctua cites early reviews that report the 240mm NL-LC1 delivering cooling performance comparable to many competing 360mm AIO models. Independent test results may vary.

The NL-LC1 competes with existing AIO products and high-performance air coolers on price, warranty and claimed noise control. Availability is listed through major retailers at the prices above.
