ENDROLL, K.K. has released Onomatopia on Android and iOS. The game is available to download from the Google Play Store and the App Store.
Onomatopia centers on small creatures called Matopi that inhabit unlockable Habitats. Players discover and befriend Matopi as they progress through the game.
Players blend environmental sounds such as waves and wind with Matopi vocalizations to produce custom soundscapes. The developer lists more than 350 million possible sound combinations.
Gameplay follows idle progression: islands and Habitats brighten and become more active as players collect and interact with Matopi. A robot companion named SIESTA helps locate lost Matopi in new areas.
A Matopi Time feature lets players interact directly with creatures through actions such as petting, poking, high-fiving and squishing, revealing each creature’s personality traits.
Visuals use a soft, cartoon-like style. The game is presented as a low-effort, relaxation-oriented title rather than a competitive or fast-paced experience.
Onomatopia is available now on both major mobile platforms.
