Outerplane summer update adds Heatwave Cop Delta
Major9 released a July summer update for Outerplane adding limited Earth-element Ranger Heatwave Cop Delta and the Automaton of the Horizon beach event with seasonal rewards.
Major9 released a summer update for Outerplane in July on mobile platforms. The patch adds a limited variant of a popular character, a new event dungeon and seasonal activities, as well as story content and gameplay adjustments.
The headline addition is Heatwave Cop Delta, a limited summer version of an existing hero. Delta appears as an Earth-element Ranger whose kit focuses on high-damage attacks that can bypass enemy defenses. The character includes summer-themed visuals, new animations and adjusted combat abilities that affect squad composition and deployment.
The event dungeon, Automaton of the Horizon, is set on an artificial beach created by Delta. The event stages offer scripted encounters and lighter story beats. Players who clear stages earn event currency that can be exchanged in an event shop for character growth materials and exclusive items used to upgrade heroes.
Concurrent seasonal activities include a Summer Login Event, Daily Missions and a Lucky Roulette minigame that grants upgrade materials and Recruitment Tickets through regular participation. The update adds summer costumes for four heroes-Monad Iota, Demiurge Luna, Viella and Caren-which change their appearance but not their base abilities. The game’s Joint Challenge mode has begun a new season featuring the boss Shichifuja.
Major9 is planning a revamped opening tutorial intended to help new players learn core mechanics more quickly. The developer is also finalizing preparations for a PC release on Steam and said further details will be announced ahead of that launch. Outerplane remains available on the App Store and Google Play.
Outerplane is an anime-style strategy role-playing game in which players collect and upgrade heroes with elemental affinities and role classes such as Rangers. The summer update provides additional content for existing players and changes to the onboarding experience prior to the Steam release.
