Overwatch Season 2 tier list ranks 51 heroes
On June 18, 2026 the Overwatch Season 2 tier list added Shion and ranked all 51 heroes from S to D, with Domina, Sojourn, Zarya, Illari, Sigma, Echo and Pharah in S tier.
The Overwatch Season 2 tier list was updated on June 18, 2026 to add the new hero Shion and to rank all 51 heroes into S, A, B, C and D tiers. The update lists Domina, Sojourn, Zarya, Illari, Sigma, Echo and Pharah as S-tier characters.
S-tier is defined as heroes that perform at the top of the competitive meta without requiring specific team compositions. Domina is noted for a large segmented barrier, strong zoning and an ultimate that prevents enemies from dealing damage or receiving healing before exploding. Sojourn is cited for railgun burst potential and high headshot damage in skilled hands. Zarya’s charged cannon and synergy with ultimates such as Graviton Surge are listed as strengths. Illari returned to higher placement after a damage buff and shows strong win rates among healers. Sigma and Echo are placed in S for consistent projectile damage and crowd-control potential; Echo received a duplicate ability buff in Season 2 that raised her win rate at higher competitive levels. Pharah’s aerial mobility and adjustments to Concussive Force are listed as factors in her top-tier ranking.
A-tier includes the newly added Shion, described as a mobile flanker with a handgun-style kit, along with Vendetta, Emre, Jetpack Cat, Tracer, Lúcio, Juno, Hazard, D.Va, Ramattra, Ashe, Cassidy, Zenyatta, Symmetra, Junker Queen, Brigitte, Mauga, Widowmaker, Kiriko, Wrecking Ball, Ana, Genji and Winston. The update notes these heroes provide high damage, utility or ultimates that can change fights when used effectively.
B-tier lists dive and utility heroes that require specific maps or playstyles, including Freja, Sierra, Mizuki, Anran, Wuyang, Doomfist, Venture, Reaper, Soldier 76, Orisa, Mei, Baptiste, Junkrat, Moira and Torbjörn. C-tier contains Lifeweaver, Sombra, Reinhardt, Hanzo, Roadhog and Bastion. Mercy is placed in D tier after mobility reductions were added to her kit in Season 2; she continues to provide a damage boost but reduced mobility is cited as a factor in her lower placement.
The update references balance changes that affected placements. Echo’s duplicate buff and Pharah’s Concussive Force improvements are reported to have increased their competitive impact. Jetpack Cat was powerful at launch and was later toned down after frequent early-match bans. Ramattra is described as a tempo tank with an Omnic defensive form and a Nemesis aggressive form that can ignore shields for a short burst of damage. The tier list reflects current patch effects on movement, healing and ultimate functions and is presented as a snapshot that may change as Blizzard issues further adjustments and players adapt strategies.
