Poinpy is returning to Android and iOS after being removed from Netflix Games. Registrations for a closed beta opened on June 17, 2026 and closed after all available slots were filled. The title previously released as a Netflix Games exclusive in partnership with Devolver Digital.
The game was created by Ojiro Fumoto, who develops under the name Moppin and is known for Downwell. Poinpy is a vertical-scrolling 2D platformer in which players bounce upward through colorful stages, dodge enemies and collect fruit to feed a chasing blue creature.
Controls are designed for one-handed play, with simple inputs for jumping, flipping and grabbing fruit. Levels are randomly generated as players climb. The game includes unlockable abilities such as Octobub, which draws nearby fruit, and Snail Clock, which temporarily slows time to help with timing.
As players progress they unlock additional modes, including puzzle stages and an Endless mode. The developer has said the mobile relaunch will not add content beyond what appeared in the earlier Netflix release.
Those who secured a closed beta slot should receive invite links and instructions by email to the address used during registration. No public launch date for the broader Android and iOS release has been announced.
Several games that left the Netflix Games lineup have later returned to app stores under separate release plans. The developer and publisher have not disclosed whether the new distribution or business model for Poinpy will differ from the prior Netflix arrangement.
