Pokémon TCG Pocket Adds Dual-Type Cards on Oct. 29

Pokémon TCG Pocket will add dual-type cards in the Dual Fusion expansion on Oct. 29. The cards will feature two Pokémon types, making them the first dual-type cards available in the mobile game.

Dual-type cards have appeared in the physical Pokémon Trading Card Game. Their two types can affect type matchups in battles and change how players assess an opponent’s cards.

Dual Fusion will add new artwork alongside the dual-type cards. The expansion will also introduce Special Packs, which require a separate resource called Special Stamina to open.

The first Special Pack will be the First Partners pack. It will feature the original partner Pokémon and will be available from Oct. 31 through Dec. 26.

Pokémon TCG Pocket will host special missions connected to Pokémon’s 30th anniversary. The anniversary celebration will run from Oct. 20, 2026, through Oct. 20, 2027.
