Pokémon TCG Pocket adds Mega Rayquaza, Gallade and Metagross

DeNa will release the Ruler of the Skies expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket on July 31. The update arrives in the mobile app for iOS and Android and adds Mega Rayquaza ex, Mega Gallade ex and Mega Metagross ex, along with new Supporter cards, additional non‑Mega Pokémon, a booster pack category with a rarity guarantee and QR deck sharing.

Mega Rayquaza ex debuts with the attack Mega Burst. Mega Burst requires one Fire and one Electric energy and discards all Energy attached to Rayquaza after attacking. DeNa has not published further details on additional effects or rulings for the card.

Mega Metagross ex is included in the set, but DeNa has not released full information on its attacks, energy costs or HP.

Mega Gallade ex features the attack Resonating Blade, which costs three energy (one Fighting and two colorless) and deals 100 damage. Resonating Blade deals an additional 50 damage if a Supporter card was played that turn. Mega Gallade ex has 220 HP. The expansion adds a new Supporter, Wally, which can attach one Energy to a Stage 2 Pokémon.

The update introduces a QR code deck‑sharing feature that allows players to export and import full deck lists. DeNa also added a new booster pack category that guarantees a four‑diamond or higher rarity card when certain conditions are met; the company has not specified those conditions.

Pokémon TCG Pocket remains free to download on the App Store and Google Play and continues to offer in‑app purchases for booster packs and other items. Ruler of the Skies will be available in the app on July 31.
