Pokémon Trading Card Live: 30th anniversary drop one day early

Pokémon Trading Card Live will release the 30th anniversary expansion on Sept. 15, one day before the wide launch, giving mobile users early access to new Futuristic-rarity cards.

Pokémon Trading Card Live will offer the 30th anniversary expansion one day early on Sept. 15, allowing mobile users to try new cards and add them to their Live collections before the expansion’s wide release on Sept. 16.

The set introduces a Futuristic rarity, reprints 30 classic cards and guarantees a rare Pikachu in each pack. New artwork for the release includes pieces by artist Yoshirotten.

Users of the Trading Card Live mobile app can test the cards in the app’s play environment and add them to their Live collections starting Sept. 15. The early access applies only to Trading Card Live on mobile; the full expansion becomes available widely on Sept. 16.

Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is a separate mobile title that serves as a standalone digital version of the Trading Card Game. Trading Card Live functions as a companion app focused on teaching the physical game’s rules and tactics and on letting users build and test decks.

The early release is part of the franchise’s 30th anniversary content.
