PUBG Mobile launched a Naruto Shippuden crossover on July 14, adding themed locations, cosmetics and new abilities. Voice-activated jutsu are available in the Chunin Exam Finals Arena for supported languages.

The update recreates the Hidden Leaf Village and the Valley of the End inside the game. New AI opponents called Rogue Ninjas will appear across event maps. The nine-tailed fox Kurama will roam battle zones and will feature in a special matchup on July 17.

Players in the Chunin Exam Finals Arena can trigger jutsu by speaking the ability name; the mechanic requires microphone input and works in supported languages. Abilities available in the event draw directly from Naruto Shippuden and include signature techniques from the series.

The release adds character outfits, voice packs and other cosmetics modeled on characters and locations from Naruto Shippuden. These items are available through in-game events and the crossover shop during the event period.

Studio Pierrot produced new animation for the crossover trailer released alongside the in-game content. PUBG Mobile presented the collaboration as combining visual and gameplay elements across multiple game modes and event spaces.

The crossover includes timed in-game activities, global events and a promotional giveaway organized by PUBG Mobile. The developer called the package one of the game’s largest collaborations to date.

Naruto Shippuden is an anime and manga series that ran from the 2000s into the early 2010s. Studio Pierrot previously handled much of the series’ animation and contributed the exclusive trailer clip used in the PUBG Mobile rollout.
