PUBG Mobile launches Spider-Man ‘Brand New Day’ event

PUBG Mobile released the ‘Brand New Day’ collaboration with Spider-Man as a limited in-game update. Players entering matches during the event will encounter Spider-Man–themed points of interest and new movement tools.

The update introduces web-style traversal mechanics. Players can swing between structures, climb walls faster than before and use a grappling-like tool to reposition during fights. These changes increase vertical mobility and provide new options for movement across maps.

Developers added Spider-Man–inspired locations to existing maps. The new points of interest emphasize vertical combat, create alternative routes for navigation and offer new ambush positions that differ from standard ground-level play.

The event includes cosmetic items and in-game rewards tied to event progression. Players can unlock Spider-Man outfits, weapon skins and other cosmetics by completing event missions and challenges rather than relying solely on direct purchases. Time-limited modes are available to let players practice the new traversal mechanics in concentrated scenarios.

The update affects both solo and team modes by altering engagement ranges and sightlines. Web-swinging and wall-crawling provide escape options and faster repositioning, while vertical POIs change common rotation paths. Event missions track performance with the new abilities and award themed rewards for completing objectives related to movement and combat.

According to the developer, the collaboration is part of the game’s ongoing program of pop-culture tie-ins and seasonal updates. The Spider-Man content has been integrated into the existing progression and reward systems so that items can be earned through normal gameplay.

The ‘Brand New Day’ collaboration follows previous PUBG Mobile crossovers that temporarily added cosmetics, map changes and limited modes to the live game. The event is time-limited and available now to players who download the update.
