PUBG Mobile World Cup 2026 Kicks Off in Paris in August

The PUBG Mobile World Cup 2026 will take place in Paris from August 6 to August 16, with 32 teams competing for a $3 million prize pool. The competition is scheduled alongside the Esports World Cup 2026 and will be played as an offline event with live broadcasts on PUBG Mobile’s official online channels.

The tournament opens with the Group Stage on August 6. The 32 qualified teams are divided into two groups of 16, and each group will play 12 matches. The top five teams from each group will advance directly to the Finals. Teams finishing 6th through 13th in each group will move on to the Survival Stage.

The Survival Stage begins on August 11 with 16 teams facing 12 matches. The top six teams from the Survival Stage will qualify for the Grand Finals. The 10 remaining teams at the end of the Survival Stage will be eliminated from the tournament.

The Grand Finals run from August 14 to August 16. Teams will compete over the scheduled matches to earn the highest point totals. On the final day the Smash Rule will apply: a team that reaches the match point criteria first will be declared champion. If no team meets that threshold, the team with the highest total points at the end of the matches will take the title.

Organizers set the total prize pool at $3 million. The champion will receive $500,000, the runner-up $250,000, third place $150,000 and fourth place $120,000. Prize payouts continue down to $25,000 for 16th place in the Grand Finals.

The field includes established esports organizations such as Team Flash, Bigetron By Vitality, Aurora Esports, AlUla Club, Furia Esports, RRQ RYU, DRX, Nigma Galaxy and GodLike Esports, among others. Teams qualified through regional routes determined ahead of the event.

PUBG Mobile returns to a major international stage with the 2026 World Cup after previous editions. The title was recognized as Mobile Esports Game of the Year at the Esports Awards 2025, a distinction noted by the event organizers.
