Ragnarok: The New World soft-launches in Southeast Asia

Gravity Game Vision has soft-launched Ragnarok: The New World on Android, iOS and PC in Southeast Asia, introducing an open-world Ragnarok Online entry with eight classes and cross-platform progression.

Gravity Game Vision has soft-launched Ragnarok: The New World, the first open-world entry in the Ragnarok Online series, on Android, iOS and PC in Southeast Asia. The release is available through Google Play and the App Store as a regional rollout ahead of a wider launch.

The title opens with eight playable classes, including the mobile debut of the Druid. The Druid can switch between Werewolf, Wereraptor and Human Arcanist forms.

Players can change jobs at will, develop multiple classes on a single character and reset skills at no cost. Equipment enhancement has been adjusted so failed upgrades do not reduce item level.

The game continues to gather resources for a character while the player is offline, and it features powerful MVP monsters that can be defeated and claimed as exclusive mounts.

Character customization options are broad, and the in-game economy supports player-driven trading. Group content includes guild raids and cooperative boss fights that require coordination among tanks, damage dealers and healers.

Ragnarok: The New World emphasizes open exploration over the smaller maps of earlier franchise entries and offers systems that support varied playstyles. Cross-play between mobile and PC allows progression to carry across devices.

Gravity Game Vision described the soft launch as an initial regional release and indicated it will provide updates on a global release schedule. Players in Southeast Asia can download the game now from official app stores.
