Rainbow Six Mobile: Operation Chain Reaction arrives July 7

Ubisoft will release Operation Chain Reaction for Rainbow Six Mobile on July 7, 2026, overhauling ranked progression, matchmaking and operator balance while adding 120 FPS and a Training Hub.

Ubisoft announced Operation Chain Reaction, a major update for Rainbow Six Mobile, will deploy on July 7, 2026. The update remakes ranked progression and matchmaking, adjusts many operators and gadgets, adds 120 FPS support, and introduces a new Training Hub.

Interface changes include a Ping Wheel for quick non-voice pings, operator portraits displayed above allies, clearer armor values and downed timers, and contextual ability prompts for operators such as Doc and Finka when their gadgets can assist a downed teammate. Ubisoft described these updates as intended to improve teammate awareness for players who do not use voice chat.

Ranked progression will shift to emphasize individual performance. Valor XP payouts will increase for consistent high performers, including MVP and SVP finishes. Progression thresholds in Gold, Platinum and Diamond will be reduced. A Top 200 global leaderboard will display exact world rank on the rank blazon for Master-ranked players who place among the top 200. Matchmaking changes include limits on premade team sizes in Legendary lobbies and tighter restrictions on parties with large rank disparities.

Operator and gadget adjustments are extensive. Kapkan can now stack multiple EDD traps on the same doorway or window. Rook’s armor plates will place players into a down-but-not-out state instead of causing instant death when health reaches zero, except in cases such as headshots or melee kills. Valkyrie’s Black Eye cameras will emit a glow while active. Jäger’s Magpie Defense System can intercept Capitão’s Fire and Smoke bolts; at the same time Capitão’s Fire Bolts have had base damage reduced. Environmental interactions were changed so toxic gas can now damage teammates, and explosive gadgets will apply a temporary movement speed penalty to players caught in the blast.

The new Training Hub will include Operator 101 tutorials and Field Exercises that put players into 1v5 scenarios against bots. At launch, Operator 101 modules will cover Bandit and Thermite, with more operators to be added later. Ubisoft framed the hub as a place to learn operator mechanics and practice before entering ranked matches.

Fair-play systems will be tightened with more frequent ban waves and shorter intervals between cheat detection and enforcement. Technical upgrades include 120 FPS support on any device with a 120Hz display regardless of chipset grading, hit-registration improvements to reduce missed server-side hits, and new HUD indicators that surface FPS drops, high ping, packet loss, server FPS issues and ping jitter. Operation Chain Reaction goes live July 7, 2026.
