Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble opens mobile pre-registration

Pre-registration for Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble is open on iOS and Android. The mobile multiplayer pits series characters in short arena shooter matches and themed mini-games.

Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble has opened pre-registration on iOS and Android for a new multiplayer spin-off that places series characters in arena-style shooter matches and themed mini-games. The developer says the game focuses on short matches suited to mobile play rather than a traditional single-player campaign.

First announced in November, Ranger Rumble frames its gameplay as a recruitment test run by Captain Qwark, who sends prospective Galactic Rangers through a digital training gauntlet. Players will be able to select familiar characters, including Ratchet and Clank, alongside new recruits to compete in brief, arena-based contests across multiple modes.

The game adapts core franchise mechanics for touch controls, including signature weapons and movement such as rail grinding. In addition to standard arena fights, the title features team-based challenges and alternate modes that reinterpret Ratchet & Clank elements; one mode is described as a series-themed take on football-style play.

Pre-registration is available now on iOS and Android. The developer has presented Ranger Rumble as an approachable mobile shooter aimed at both fans of the series and newcomers, with emphasis on quick matches and recognizable series iconography.

Ranger Rumble is a multiplayer spin-off rather than a new mainline, narrative-driven entry. The release follows a wider trend of adapting console franchises for mobile platforms.

Further release details, including a firm launch date and regional rollout plan, have not been announced.
