Resident Evil Survival Unit adds Monster Hunter co-op event

Aniplex and JOYCITY have launched a Monster Hunter crossover in Resident Evil Survival Unit, adding co-op fights with Yian Kut-Ku and Rathalos, free collab heroes, new cosmetics and a grilling reward.

Aniplex and JOYCITY launched a Monster Hunter crossover event in Resident Evil Survival Unit. The update is live now on iOS and Android.

The centerpiece is a cooperative mode that lets players team up to battle Monster Hunter creatures inside Survival Unit match environments. Players will face familiar beasts from the Monster Hunter series, including Yian Kut-Ku and Rathalos, placed into the game’s existing maps and combat systems.

The update adds collaboration-exclusive heroes inspired by Monster Hunter designs; those characters are obtainable without purchase. Additionally, new cosmetic items for player bases and squads reflect the crossover theme.

A new meat-grilling mechanic lets players cook materials gathered from hunts to earn special in-game rewards tied to the event.

Aniplex and JOYCITY have scheduled multiple crossover activities across the month to give players repeated opportunities to access the limited-time content.

The collaboration is the first official tie-up between Resident Evil Survival Unit and Monster Hunter. The event uses characters and monsters from Capcom’s Monster Hunter franchise and is part of the game’s ongoing content drops that add new modes and rewards for its mobile player base.
