Rockstar places GTA 6 ads in GTA Online

Rockstar has added in-game advertisements promoting Grand Theft Auto VI inside GTA Online.

Rockstar Games has added promotional advertisements for Grand Theft Auto VI inside GTA Online’s live world.

The placements began appearing recently in the persistent multiplayer sessions, where players encounter them during normal gameplay. The assets include visual elements embedded in the environment and in-game messages that reference Grand Theft Auto VI.

Players have reported seeing the adverts during missions, free-roam sessions and on some menu screens. Some users have shared screenshots and descriptions online showing where the materials appear.

Rockstar implemented the placements as part of its marketing for Grand Theft Auto VI, placing the promotional material inside GTA Online rather than relying solely on trailers or external advertising channels.

The in-world elements appear alongside the game’s existing fictional brands and signage. The ads use the game environment and messaging systems already available to players in-session.

Rockstar confirmed the development of Grand Theft Auto VI in previous years and has not announced a firm release date. The company has released staged updates and selective information about the next mainline title.

Grand Theft Auto Online launched as the multiplayer component of Grand Theft Auto V and now operates as a stand-alone live service with regular content updates and seasonal events. The game maintains large concurrent player counts and active in-game economies, providing a direct audience for in-service promotions.

No official statement with further details about the in-game placements or their duration has been published by Rockstar at the time of these reports.
