Rockstar confirms GTA 6 pre-orders, reveals cover art
Rockstar released full cover artwork and announced GTA 6 pre-orders open June 25 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles; no price or PC release date was provided.
Rockstar Games released full cover artwork for Grand Theft Auto 6 and announced that pre-orders for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles open June 25. The company did not provide a price, edition details, a release date or a PC release window.
The artwork follows the series’ collage style and features the title’s dual protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. The short trailer that accompanied the announcement is a slow pan across the cover image and does not include gameplay footage.
Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick previously described the company’s intent as a ‘fair’ price and did not rule out an $80 base price when asked last year. Industry observers and players have speculated that a standard edition could be near $80, with deluxe or premium editions potentially reaching about $100–$120. In the UK, early expectations center on roughly £70–75 for a standard edition.
Rockstar did not publish a price list tied to the June 25 pre-order start and offered no details on edition tiers, pre-order bonuses or launch timing. The company referenced only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series platforms for the pre-order rollout; any confirmation of a PC release will require a separate announcement.
Pre-orders for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series open Thursday, June 25. Rockstar has not provided the game’s release date.
