Scissor Seven: Shadow Clash to test on mobile in China Q3 2026

Ajeeyoo Games will run a Q3 2026 technical test in China for Scissor Seven: Shadow Clash, a pixel-art side-scrolling action RPG for mobile.

Ajeeyoo Games announced a technical test for Scissor Seven: Shadow Clash, a pixel-art side-scrolling action RPG set on Chicken Island. The test will run on mobile in China in the third quarter of 2026. The title is an officially licensed adaptation of the Scissor Seven intellectual property and was revealed at the 2026 Good Game Fast-Paced New Product Festival.

Ajeeyoo framed the initial test as a chance to evaluate core systems and gather player feedback before wider trials. The developer confirmed that larger testing phases are planned but did not provide dates for those stages.

The project is described as the franchise’s first official pixel-art side-scrolling ARPG. Combat emphasis is on tactical choices and character techniques rather than extended stat grinding. Progression is designed to be streamlined so players can focus on experimenting with strategies during encounters.

The game will expand the animated series’ narrative with original storylines, character backstories and events that were not fully explored on screen. Players will encounter everyday scenes on Chicken Island, hidden references and Easter eggs placed throughout the game world. Visuals and animations will adapt memorable moments from the series into pixel-art form while moving the cast into new story directions.

Mechanically, the title will include signature elements from the series such as Ah Qi’s scissors, a roster of characters with distinct techniques, and unusual inventions that alter combat. The design puts emphasis on choice and technique during fights.

Ajeeyoo did not announce a global release date or confirm platforms beyond mobile. Players interested in the technical test should watch for registration and participation details from the developer. The company indicated feedback from the early tests will inform future updates and larger test windows.
