Shelter from the Storm strands players in abandoned manor

Groan Games released its debut mobile game Shelter from the Storm on Google Play, a short point-and-click puzzle set in an abandoned manor.

Groan Games released Shelter from the Storm on Google Play. The studio’s first title places a player who is caught in a storm inside an unlocked, long-unvisited manor. Players solve point-and-click puzzles to uncover the house’s past.

The game uses classic inventory-based mechanics. Players examine objects, collect items, combine them and use clues to open doors and compartments. Progress depends on observation and correct use of found items.

Groan Games describes Shelter from the Storm as a short adventure. The design emphasizes a compact playtime and atmosphere rather than extended backtracking or larger-scale mechanics.

The game uses visible horror elements such as candlelight, creaking floorboards and a sense of isolation to set its tone. Narrative details are revealed through the environment and puzzle solutions rather than through extended exposition.

Shelter from the Storm is available now on Google Play. Groan Games has not announced an App Store release. As the studio’s debut, the release places Groan Games on mobile platforms and follows a small-scale independent design approach common among recent mobile horror releases.
