Sifu brings its martial-arts revenge story to mobile
Sifu, Sloclap’s martial-arts action game about a student avenging a fallen master and father, is now available for iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
Sifu, a martial-arts action game from Sloclap, is now available on iOS and Android. It follows a student seeking revenge for a fallen master and father in a modern-day kung-fu story.
Players fight through several levels using hand-to-hand combat, improvised weapons and objects found in the environment. The combat system requires players to learn enemy patterns and use attacks, blocks and counters with precise timing.
The game uses a death-and-aging system. Each time the protagonist dies, they return older and stronger. Repeated deaths bring the character closer to a final death. Reaching that point forces players to restart the level.
The mobile version is available for iPhone, iPad and Android devices. Some high-fidelity visual elements were reduced for mobile hardware, while the story, combat and aging systems remain in the game.
Sifu was later adapted for an animated anthology series. The mobile release expands the game’s availability beyond its original platforms.
