Slots & Daggers will release on Android and iOS on Aug. 17, 2026. The game costs $3.99 and is available for pre-registration on the App Store and Google Play.
Developed by Friedemann and published on mobile by Future Friends Games, the title blends slot-machine mechanics with turn-based fantasy combat. Each encounter requires players to spin reels that determine attacks, items and effects during fights.
The single-player campaign runs about four to eight hours. The release also includes Egg Arena, a separate high-score mode designed for repeated short runs.
The game uses a retro visual style with hand-drawn character sketches and pixel-influenced graphics. Audio elements include drum-machine beats and arcade-style coin chimes tied to reel payouts.
Combat combines randomized encounters and run-based progression with the luck-and-risk dynamics of slot reels. Players can gain incremental upgrades during runs and face permadeath-like replay loop mechanics.
Friedemann described the project as a deliberate break from his previous title SUMMERHOUSE and said he kept the scope intentionally small.
An early commentary read: “The idea is simple yet surprisingly fun, with fast-paced battles, numbers, goblins, and classic roguelike mechanics built around spinning a slot machine.”
Slots & Daggers was previously available on PC and consoles; the mobile release brings the same campaign and Egg Arena mode to Android and iOS.
