Sony sets Nov. 19 launch for $99.99 PS5 Pulse headset

Sony will launch the PlayStation Pulse Wireless Headset on Nov. 19, 2026, at $99.99 in the U.S. Preorders will open Oct. 29.

Sony will release the PlayStation Pulse Wireless Headset in select regions on Nov. 19, 2026. The headset will cost $99.99 in the United States, with preorders opening Oct. 29 at 10 a.m. local time through PlayStation Direct, where available, and participating retailers.

The headset will be available in White and Midnight Black. Sony plans to sell it in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, most European countries, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Additional markets are expected later.

The Pulse Wireless Headset uses planar magnetic drivers, which are designed to produce clear sound, more detail and stronger low-frequency audio. Sony developed the headset using lessons from the Pulse Elite, released in 2024, with changes focused on sound quality, comfort and connectivity.

PlayStation Link will provide lossless, low-latency audio on compatible devices, including the PS5, PlayStation Portal, PC and Mac. Bluetooth connectivity will support compatible devices.

The headset has an AI noise-rejecting microphone to reduce unwanted background sounds during voice chat. Its ear cups rotate, allowing the headset to lie flat for transport and storage.

The price will be £89.99 in the United Kingdom, €99.99 in supported European countries and ¥15,980 in Japan. Sony has not announced one worldwide release date, and availability will vary by region.

Sony also plans to release the PlayStation Pulse Edge Wireless Headset in 2027. The model will use planar magnetic drivers with twice the magnet volume of those in the standard Pulse headset and will include active noise cancellation.

The Pulse Edge will have a removable boom microphone and a built-in microphone for use without the boom. It will come with a carrying case and a 3.5-millimeter audio and microphone jack. On PS5, it will support controls for balancing game audio and chat. Sony plans to provide more information about the Pulse Edge later.
