Sora Arrives in Fortnite; Roxas and Kairi Hinted

Fortnite confirmed Kingdom Hearts protagonist Sora will join the game this week. Posts signed ‘R’ and ‘K’ suggest Roxas, Kairi and possibly Riku may follow.

Fortnite confirmed that Kingdom Hearts protagonist Sora will join the game this week, posting a brief teaser that shows his Keyblade planted in the sand before he lifts it and slings it over his shoulder. The announcement appeared on Fortnite’s official social channels after months of leaks and speculation.

Alongside the clip, Fortnite posted a series of short messages signed with single letters. The posts read: ‘Looks like my summer vacation is… over. -R’ ‘If the world is made of light and darkness… We’ll be the darkness. -R’ ‘And who knows, starting a new journey might not be so hard… -K’.

Fans identified ‘R’ as Roxas and ‘K’ as Kairi, and many also pointed to Riku as a possible addition. Roxas is a Keyblade wielder associated with Organization XIII and connected to Sora’s story. Kairi and Riku are Sora’s longtime friends and main characters in the series.

Epic Games has confirmed only Sora so far and has not released pricing, bundle contents or an exact release time beyond indicating it will happen this week. Players following Fortnite’s official channels can expect further details in the coming days.

The Keyblade is expected to appear as a melee weapon, consistent with past Fortnite collaborations that add new items and weapons. Fans have also speculated that other video game characters, including the original Doom Slayer, could join the roster.

The reveal arrives during Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override, which has added content inspired by other games, including a recreation of Sonic’s Green Hill Zone and Tetris-themed elements. Kingdom Hearts received renewed attention after the announcement of Kingdom Hearts 4 earlier this year, and leaks over the past year had suggested a partnership between the franchise and Fortnite.
